A Buddhist temple started by Gyoki and revitalized by Ninsai. Gyoki laid the foundation of this temple and Ninsai revitalized it. The statue of Prince Shotoku created during the Kamakura Period is registered as an important cultural property. There is a 270 year old shidare-sakura cherry blossom tree called itozakura which has been designated as the citizen’s tree of Kobe. Every year in April there is a cherry blossom festival followed by a tea party and every year on November 2, a tea ceremony is held at the Arima Tea Party.
